Quotes and Pricing
Every quote is free, in writing, and specific to your home. A quote is valid for 30 days from the date it is sent unless it says otherwise. The price covers exactly what is listed on it: the equipment, the installation labor, and any materials named. Prices shown on this website are for the systems described there and are confirmed in your written quote before any work is scheduled.
If we find something on installation day that the quote did not account for, such as a corroded shutoff valve, a main line in a different place than expected, or pipe that has to be replaced to make a safe connection, we stop, show you, and give you a price for the extra work before continuing. Nothing is added to your bill without your approval.
Scheduling, Cancellations and Reschedules (48 Hour Notice Requested)
We understand that plans change, and we strive to accommodate our customers as best as possible. If you need to cancel or move your installation, please tell us at least 48 hours before the scheduled time so we can offer the slot to another customer and reschedule the plumber.
- Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 48 hours notice may be charged a trip fee if one is stated on your quote.
- If our team arrives and cannot access the home, or cannot safely perform the work for reasons on the customer’s side, the visit is treated as a same day cancellation.
- Equipment that was special ordered for your home and has already shipped may not be returnable. Any restocking cost passed to us by the supplier is passed to you at cost.
To avoid these charges, we kindly ask that you notify us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Thank you!
Your Right to Cancel
New Jersey law gives you the right to cancel a home improvement contract for any reason before midnight of the third business day after you receive a copy of it. To cancel, notify us in writing within that time, by email, certified mail, or hand delivery. Any payment you made is returned in full within 30 days. This right is in addition to the scheduling terms above, not instead of them.
Deposits and Payment
Some installations require a deposit to order equipment. If yours does, the amount is stated on your quote and is credited against the final price. The balance is due when the installation is complete and you have been walked through the system.
We never ask for card numbers through this website, and we provide a written receipt for every payment.
Scope of Work
Our work is performed according to the written quote you approved. It lists the system, where it is installed, and what is included. Our plumbers complete that work within the time frame agreed with you.
If additional work is requested on installation day that falls outside the scope of your quote, our team will do their best to accommodate, but additional charges may apply. Any major scope change should be communicated at least 48 hours in advance so the right parts are on the truck.
Items Not Automatically Included
The following are not included unless specifically listed on your quote:
- Repairs to existing plumbing, valves, or fixtures that are not part of the installation
- Running a new electrical outlet or circuit to the installation location
- Drywall, tile, paint, or other finish repairs where the work is done
- Lab water testing through a certified laboratory. We can arrange it, and it is billed separately.
- Ongoing supplies such as salt, filter cartridges, and membranes after the installation
- Removal and disposal of old equipment other than the unit being replaced
- Work on wells, well pumps, pressure tanks, or septic systems
If you’d like any of these added, please let us know when you request your quote and we’ll price it for you.
Permits and Licensing
Water softener and filtration installations are plumbing work under New Jersey law and are performed by licensed New Jersey master plumbers. Where your municipality requires a permit, the permit is obtained before the work begins and the fee is passed through to you at cost. You agree to allow the municipal inspector access to the work if an inspection is required.
Customer Responsibilities & Access
To ensure our team can provide the best possible service, we ask that customers:
- Provide clear and safe access to the installation area at the scheduled time, usually where the main water line enters the home, and have someone 18 or older present.
- Make sure there is a working electrical outlet within reach of the installation location if the system needs one. Your quote will say so.
- Tell us in advance about anything we should know: a private well, a septic system, a main shutoff valve that does not fully close, past leaks, or pipe you know to be in poor condition.
- Secure pets before our arrival.
- Move stored items away from the work area so the plumber can work safely.
If our team arrives and is unable to access the home or the work area, the appointment may be treated as a same day cancellation and the scheduling terms above apply.
12 Month Workmanship Warranty
Our installation work is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion. If a connection we made leaks or a part we installed fails because of how it was installed, contact us and we will return to make it right at no additional charge.
The equipment itself carries its manufacturer’s warranty, which is passed to you at installation. We will help you file a manufacturer’s claim if you ever need one.
If you notice a problem, please tell us right away rather than waiting. A small drip caught early is a five minute fix. The same drip left for a month can damage a floor.
Warranty Limitations
The workmanship warranty covers the installation we performed. It does not cover:
- Existing pipe, valves, or fittings that were not replaced as part of the job, including older shutoff valves that fail when they are operated.
- Damage from freezing, flooding, power surges, or water pressure above the system’s rating.
- Lack of maintenance, such as running out of salt or not changing filters on the schedule we gave you.
- Problems caused by water conditions the system was not sized or specified to treat, including changes in your water after installation.
- Any part of the system that was moved, adjusted, or serviced by someone other than us.
- Issues that were not reported to us within a reasonable time after they were first noticed.
Water treatment equipment reduces the contaminants it is designed and rated for. No system removes everything, and we will always tell you what a system does and does not do before you buy it.
Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service (Unsafe or Hostile Environment)
The safety and well-being of our team is our top priority. Jersey Water Pros reserves the right to refuse, discontinue, or leave a job without completing service if our staff encounters any of the following:
- Verbal abuse, harassment, or threatening behavior directed at any member of our team.
- Unsanitary or hazardous conditions that pose a health or safety risk, such as raw sewage, mold, or pest infestations in the work area.
- Unsupervised animals that are aggressive or pose a danger.
- Plumbing or electrical conditions that cannot be worked on safely without repairs you have declined.
- Any situation our team deems unsafe.
If service is discontinued for any of the above reasons, you are responsible for the work completed and the materials installed up to that point. We strive to maintain a respectful and professional relationship with all of our customers and expect the same courtesy in return.
Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
If you have any concerns about a charge, we ask that you contact us directly before filing a dispute or chargeback with your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving billing issues promptly and fairly.
Filing a chargeback without first contacting us will result in immediate suspension of all future service. We reserve the right to pursue collection of any unpaid balances, including any fees incurred from the dispute process.
Limitation of Liability
Jersey Water Pros carries general liability insurance, and every plumbing contractor who works in your home carries their own liability and workers’ compensation coverage. In the unlikely event that property damage occurs during an installation, please notify us within 48 hours with photos and a description of the damage.
We will investigate all claims promptly and in good faith. Our liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the damaged item, up to the total amount you paid us for the work in question. We are not liable for:
- Damage resulting from pre-existing conditions, including corroded pipe, failing valves, or prior water damage.
- Conditions not disclosed or brought to our team’s attention before the work began.
- Damage caused by equipment or materials you supplied.
- Damage from leaks that were not reported to us promptly after being noticed.
- Indirect or consequential damages of any kind.
